Five Seasons Pilates Instructors
Gregory Gorrindo had the good fortune of having his first Pilates lesson at the age of twelve. His talent and interest for the work was fostered by his mother, Five Seasons Pilates founder Jean Gibson-Gorrindo, and he began apprenticing under her in 2008. He is a graduate of the Balanced Body® Comprehensive Pilates Instructor training program under Paula Anderson of Pilates Power Center in Arroyo Grande, CA. In 2013 he became a certified Balanced Body Barre™ instructor . In the Fall of 2015 he assumed ownership of Five Seasons Pilates after Jean's retirement. He intends to continue her legacy of excellence as Pilates instructor and as a small business owner. Gregory is also a prolific local actor and singer, and has been seen on many Central Coast stages performing in theatre productions, concerts, and recitals.
Dale McVay worked for over 11 years as the Corporate Wellness Program Director for the city of San Luis Obispo, and previously owned her own Pilates studio in Paso Robles in addition to working for other studios on the Central Coast. Dale joined the Five Seasons Pilates team in 2010. She received her comprehensive training for Pilates matwork and apparatus from Balanced Body, training under Tom McCook of Center of Balance in Mountain View, CA. Because of her extensive background as a competitive athlete in triathlons and swimming, her classes and private sessions have a strong emphasis on anatomy, structural integrity, and functional movement. Much of her work revolves around the rehabilitating of athletic injuries as well as working with hip and knee replacements. Dale is also a Certified California Massage Practitioner, and having trained at the Eslaen Institute in the Longstroke Technique, has received her DeepBodyWork Certification. Her current interest is FoundationTraining.
